The LSS has a very active annual programme and arranges a wide variety of programmes and initiatives that include academic activities (High Court tour), social events (such as the annual Law Ball, booze cruises and pub lunches) and community outreach programmes as well as professional activities such as the vacation work programme and the CV Writing workshop.

The Law Society is managed by an executive committee. The society's constitution also makes provision for an honorary president, who is chosen annually from faculty staff. The role of the honorary president is that of mentor as well as to liaise with the faculty.
